To expand my writing skillset, I'm minoring in Professional Writing Studies with courses focusing on rhetoric and brand writing, opening up new paths to channel my passion for storytelling. This section features a range of work — from my role as a Communications Intern at a bridal gown company to academic projects that pushed me to write with intention for distinct audiences and purposes.
Essense of Australia Communications Internship
I couldn’t have asked for a better first internship experience and first taste of the real world! Working as Essense of Australia’s Communications Intern during Summer 2025 brought knowledge about corporate communications, brand voice and, of course, the wonderful world of wedding gowns. In this role, I learned how to master and adapt to brand voice and style, incorporated into all of my writing projects, including True Bride and Real Bride blogs for the company’s wholesale and retail blog sites, LinkedIn copy on PR features and staff bios for retail stores around the globe, from boutiques in Munich, Germany to Fitzroy, Australia. I also conducted and presented in-depth market research about how AI is changing the purpose of blogs for retail companies, and how Essense can pivot their own blog strategy in this new age.
